Silphey was startled by the voice, thinking she had been alone. “Um, I’m not really sure actually. I think I’m lost..” she let her voice trail off as she inspected the strange man before her.
"Oh it is not good to be in here alone and be lost to add to it. To add to it you probably don’t know about what lurks in this forest." He chuckled and gave her his arm. "Now why don’t I lead you out of here?" He asked with a gentle smile.
"W-what do you mean? What lurks in the forest?" She asked, her eyes now searching the trees around them. "And no offense but I don’t know who you are so why should I trust you to help me?" She didn’t take his arm and instead took a step back.
He chuckled and said, “my dear I am your only chance of not being eaten. I am a vegetarian.” He said his hands up in defence. “Meanwhile all the creatures like eating humans. You got giants, nekos and Nagas and many more. I wish you would trust me. I mean ya no harm.”
Silphey’s eyes widened at the mention of creatures eating humans. With a nervous laugh she said “Y-you say that like you’re not human.” She was hoping that she had just misinterpreted what he had said.
He sighed, “I am half human… so I know that you fear that this is a trick only to eat you but you see I am a bunny boy.” Then two silk white ears popped out of his head. “Please don’t scream the giants will hear you. Trust me and allow me to save you.” He held out his shaking hand to her.
She was shocked to say the least. She hadn’t know that creatures like him existed. She stared at him for several moments before finally taking his hand and could only hope that she wasn’t making a mistake. “M-my name is Silphey” she said just above a whisper.
